? Research Essay The essay emphasized on ascertaining the role of individuals towards the production and the demand of eco-friendly products. In the present business scenario, it has been recognized that consumers are more attracted towards eco-friendly products assisting in minimizing consumption of chemicals and pesticides. Contextually, eco-friendly products aid in improving the health of the community and in protecting the environment from the emission of toxic elements. Emphasizing this notion, the essay concentrates on evaluating the impacts of individuals’ decision making for eco-friendly products on community health at large. Impacts of individual decisions concerning eco-friendly commodity choices on community health In the present scenario, consumers are perceived to be playing an important role towards enhanced business performances. In this regard, consumer behavior is determined as a vital aspect with regard to marketing operations of business organizations. Business organizations, in their marketing operations, are therefore required to understand the consumer behavior in order to offer products and/or services maintaining their efficiency levels with the intention of meeting the needs as well as preferences of customers in the worldwide market segments. Presently, the consumers have been deciphering a greater inclination towards eco-friendly products and are also willing to pay more for these products, deciphering a quality concerned attitude rather than a price-centric motive. On the global context, individuals are immensely attracted towards eco-friendly commodities for safety and health concerns. Subsequently, increased consumptions of eco-friendly products have assisted in maintaining the health of the community, which denotes that there might be a linkage between community health and the purchase trends deciphered by consumers to favor eco-friendly products (Connolly & Prothero, 2010). Correspondingly, the essay emphasizes on determining the impact of individual decisions in relation to eco-friendly commodity choices towards the health of the community. Literature Review The demand for products and/or services if often argued to be depending on the needs as well as preferences of individuals in the worldwide market segments. Reflecting on the same concern, the report published by European Commission (2006) signified that decisions of individuals are based on different factors, which commonly include product information and product preferences. The consumers are thus concentrated towards social and environment developments due to increased concern of climate changes. Moreover, individuals are also perceived to make their purchase decisions based on safety and health factors that are attached with products and/or services. In this regard, the consumers in the worldwide market segments are encouraged towards consuming healthier as well as quality products (European Commission, 2006). According to Ahmad & Juhdi (2008), in the recent era, individuals are identified to change their lifestyle and are decisive in making purchases of products and/or services for self-fulfillment. Individuals make purchase decisions of eco-friendly products due to increased concern towards environmental factors and their accountability towards its stability. Additionally, increased demand for health and environment friendly products has augmented the production of organic goods globally with due concentration on causing minimum effects on the environment. In this respect, the global consumers purchase eco-friendly products with the objective of developing community health. Respectively, business organizations produce organic food to a large extent due to changing trends and decisions of consumers. Ahmad & Juhdi (2008) have also stated that organic products are consumed immensely as individuals are more health conscious. Moreover, individuals purchase eco-friendly products in order to be a part of the social group with the intention of improving the health of the community (Ahmad & Juhdi, 2008). Evidently, the demands for green products have increased to a significant level due to change in the perception of individuals. As revealed in the report published by Green for All (n.d.), consumers in the global context demand for eco-friendly products under the influence of various motivators, which include safety and health as the primary and social status as the secondary. In this regard, the changing preferences and decisions of individuals have assisted in developing the health of the community due to decreased use of chemicals as well as pesticides in eco-friendly products. Subsequently, the consumers are identified to be concerned about the health as well as environment impact of products that are used on a daily basis. In this regard, the report of Green for All (n.d.) also signified that the decisions of individuals in relation to the purchase of eco-friendly products have motivated business organizations in developing safe as well as non-toxic products. It is in this context that the development of eco-friendly products has assisted in minimizing environment pollution from the emission of harmful as well as toxic elements and consequently, enriching community health (Green for All, n.d.). In a similar context, the report published by OECD (2008) signified that the purchase decisions of individuals in relation to eco-friendly products have increased mainly due to environment and health concerns. Additionally, the purchase decisions of eco-friendly products have been effective in minimizing environmental impacts arising due to rigorous agricultural practices. The consumption of eco-friendly commodities has also been effective in reducing health hazards arising from increased use of chemicals and pesticides in the production of products. In this regard, the consumptions of eco-friendly commodities assisted in minimizing health risks and contribute towards developing a better community health. Moreover, increased consumption of organic products has assisted in minimizing the impacts on the environment (OECD, 2008). Critical Evaluation In the present business scenario, the decisions and the preferences of the consumers play an important role in the marketing as well as production of products. It is recognized that individuals are more concerned about health conscious products in the current phenomenon. In this regard, individuals make decisions of purchasing increased amount of eco-friendly products with the intention of minimizing health risks that arise from chemicals and pesticides used in the production. Contextually, increased demand for eco-friendly products has initiated business organizations in producing increased organic products. In this context, business organizations have increased production of eco-friendly commodities assisting in minimizing adverse impacts on the environment due to reduced emission of toxic elements. Subsequently, the decisions made by individuals to increase consumption of eco-friendly commodities have assisted in improving the community health. Conclusion In the recent phenomenon, a considerable increased in the demand for eco-friendly products have been witnessed, which have been argued as mainly triggered by the rising concern of worldwide consumers towards safety and health. In this context, increased consumption of eco-friendly products have facilitated in minimizing health problems due to toxic chemicals and pesticides used in the production of artificial products. Moreover, the production of eco-friendly commodities has also facilitated in minimizing emission of hazardous elements. In this regard, individual decisions in relation to consumption of eco-friendly commodities have assisted in maintaining the health of the community showing a direct relationship amid the two dimensions of consumers choices favoring eco-friendly products and enhancing community health.
