Rephrase al affiliation Rephrase 0. ESSAY ONE 1. HOME TOWN During practical two, a wide range of significant lessons were learnt. Among the lessons learnt include; substitution of the ampersand signal, the ‘var’ label and continuous values with variables. Other properties included are the onload and onunload body tags, map drawing canvas and ability to check the functionality of browsers as well as accessing graphics from databases. In terms of coding, ampersand signal is very crucial. In the process of coding, ampersand should be indicated as amp and as, an attribute that makes it easy for construal by diverse browsers. The tag ‘var’ is used to refer to various variables and meanings ascribed to them in the database. On the other hand, ‘onload’ as a feature, allows for transmission of information that is given meaning upon downloading a particular document. ‘Onunload’ another feature of the body tags, assigns various roles that are run in a document after unloading. These features are useful for setting icons and positions on the plan. The ID feature of the div label is utilized to delineate the canvas responsible for representation of a map. The dimension of the ID component determines the magnitude of the canvas while the Java script API accesses Google map as well as design the canvas just like GMap 2. GIS Mashup GIS Mashup allows for interpretation of Application Program Interfaces (APIs) in web pages or documents. GIM Mashup also presents information from sites such as Google Maps in an easier way for the public to read and comprehend. From internet, various maps and contents can be traced, ranging form events to cities that are categorized in alphabetical manner. Data related to any kind of information is accessible through the internet, upon search; all kinds of information can be accessed. Just like the Mashup Boston 24 was accessed on a map, it is possible to get any kind of information over the internet through Google Maps and links from Gossammer. The author of this work managed to acclimatize Java script from another person’s rewriting on the hockey map. 2.0. ESSAY 2 2.1. ICE CREAM From practical three, one is able to borrow a lot of lessons from the practical conducted. This practical entailed devising a web page using the technology of Google Map API. Learners were also taught on how to design codes that would be used identification of locations on a map. Learners were also made conversant with the ability of putting up specific icons on a page that would be used for detecting a place and all the details, including minute details about the place. Finally, the learners were left acquainted with the methodologies setting up icons that, upon clicking would display all the information required. The GIS Mashup may be described as the procedure in which a site map is created, that constitutes its location and features like the population. The major role of the GIS Mashup is to craft markers on the map in order to discern which places require varying parameters, as well as the preceding data in the context of the map. On the other hand, the Create Marker works according to the information programmed into it so as it may acquire the information and places in question. Only four places were chosen for marking. It is a result of the GLatLng () that the information in the variable ‘place’ and ‘info’ were received. Each and every Create Marker () had its own object whose function was clearly illustrated. Commercial view point for Mashup Maintenance and expertise development of Mashup displays the potential of being extremely useful in relation to knowledge information and display. In fact, Mashup has attained a global acceptance, thus its commercial ability may be very beneficial in terms of creation of various insurmountable activities. In response to the universal acceptance, majority of the companies have opted to use it for the purposes of acquiring maximum benefits from it. In the previous times, Mashup was useful in social contexts, in terms of sharing information among the members of a particular group that relate to varying groups and places. With the escalating numbers of crime in the society, mishandling of electronic gadgets and discovery of more sophisticated hideouts for criminals, there has been a dire need for installation of Mashup devices to handle such situations. Studies indicate that the pace setters of Map technology, Microsoft and Google, are on the verge of using maps as a mode of advertisement of their products. This advertisement will be based on the significance of the product in various parts of the world. If the product fits in the market, then it will definitely have an explicit place in the advertisement campaign. Nonetheless, advertisements on the Mashup are already taking shape in the market attracting various numbers of clients to the product. In response to this fact, Palatial and Trulia were established attracting large numbers of clientele base to the product. Trulia deals with real estate business and benefits from Mashup through display on a map and provision of detailed information, pictures and other forms of data that are of benefit to its customers. Palatial, on the other hand, allows for creation of a custom made atlas useful for data storage on the unfolding of events. Recent research indicates that the Map technology has a great potential of thriving both for entertainment purposes as well as functionality of crime detection through the provision of detailed information founded on places and the continuous search for valuable resources like oil and gas. 3.0. ESSAY 3 After conducting research on practical five, quite a number of lessons were derived from the course group. One of the lessons is the designing of a Mashup structured on Google Map API and assimilating the information stored in various related catalogues. The major benefit of the related databases is that they are easy to access information, thus prompt performance. However, other advantages exist that are inclusive of instant up to date information on maps and changes that are likely to take part in the information or data. In short, this system is the best solution if one needs instant feedback on novel information. For instance, data on the weather is easily accessible and can be linked with other information that may display icons that are related to weather like temperature, speed of wind, rainfall amongst others. It is important to note that this form of data relies on the previous installed information on Google Map API. In the occurrence of a hitch in the data system, there is a likelihood of enormous errors on the Mashup. In that context, therefore, it is important that data is integrated and maintained at all times to avoid future problems. The way in which information is updated in the system is the same as the earlier one. Records are fed into the systems and the entire information is directed into the formation of a marker, which are functional in terms of display of information upon clicking of a mouse. It is justified to argue that Mashup is an extremely potent tool in computing this contemporary world with varying abilities of growth and developments. 4.0. ESSAY 4 4.1. PROJECT Introduction The major aim of this project is to discuss the methodology applied while decoding information and representation on Google Map. This data being scrutinized had all the required constituents ranging from weather, county and even locations. This assignment will highlight the issue of maps for access to reports regarding hails and strong winds in U.S.A. Data collection In order to collect tangible data for this information, use of the internet websites proved beneficial. From the www.e-education.psu.edu/geog863/l6_p8.html website, the sizes of hails were beneficial for conducting this research. This data incorporated hail and wind information in the U.S.A. Whilst carrying out the collection of data, no major complaints were reported and the whole process would be termed as smooth sailing. The few forms of problems that were encountered while collecting data for research purposes were not too extreme to be handled. In fact, nothing serious can be reported. Validity of the data used Since my research is all about research on wind and hails in the U.S.A, this data only focused on the types on winds or hails, as well as the magnitude of the same wind. This information also focused on the response of the people on the magnitude and effect of the winds or hail. Nonetheless, I faced a myriad of problems while carrying out this process of data collection. It proved extremely strenuous to install the slid tablet into the map. It took me extremely long to find assistance, not until I acquired information on the internet that related to Google API2. After accessing such articles, it proved easier to understand the functionality of the application. Hitches while conducting research While undertaking the final research paper, it was very difficult to learn the techniques of accessing some pieces of information. Creation of information through PHP script was no uphill task for me but a very interesting and useful encounter for may research project. I was actually mesmerized by the fact that I did not have to constantly use a form of a database to salvage any form of information. It is justified to accept the fact that accessing data with no use of databases is indeed a benefit to the researcher. Researchers were in a better position to retrieve data with a lot of flexibility and ease during research. This technique works with the help of a CSV file or web scrapper. This project allows the end user select hail and information regarding weather patterns in the USA. The users are able to select specific locations from an inventory, then study and scrutinize the data collected. From the system, the user is able to have an array of information displayed on the window for comparisons and contrasts of information. All information presented can be highlighted and searched if need for additional information arises. The data used is well suited for the web applications and careful scrutiny of all the materials indicated in the web pages was of great help to discern which material is valid and which is not. I also used my fellow students to assist me in the selection of the best material by undertaking discussions with them. The ideal data set is that which incorporates all the components of weather information, hails, temperature among others, in the U.S.A. Reliability of data The above information on data indicates that the data used is very relevant to the research carried out by the researcher. In order to make the research more comprehensive and detailed, I followed all the links in the web page, in order to exhaust all the materials necessary to make this research a successful one. I took the advice on the webpage that the page was not exhaustive and had to search other search engines for more information regarding the topic. Apart from the webpage indicated above, I searched several others then compared and contrasted the information acquired. These web pages included topics and sub topics on the topic under study and related pages. Architecture In terms of suitability of the use of techniques of the project, Google bar was incorporated in the research project. This system would assist in the identification of specific locations or landmarks that the user may need as additional information. The user is also provided with an opportunity to enter addresses that might be beneficial in acquiring comprehensive information from the research, through use as a normal Google Map to view areas of choice. On the Mashup, I also indicated the use of Google Streetview that enables discard of information that relate to the research on weather after use. The Google Streetview feature displayed characteristics of being too unpredictable upon generation on HTML pop up. The user is still in a position to switch the Streetview layer on or off while using the gadget. In addition, users can adjust the sizes of the panoramas to suit their needs. In order to move to different locations using the Streetview icons, refreshing the pages is inescapable. From the research, the most important thing, which can be derived from the entire process, is how to transmit variables to PHP script, and then get data that is not necessarily reliant on a specific database. Conclusion During the research, just like in many other forms of research carried out in various fields of study; this one had quite a number of hitches. If I had more time for research, I would undertake a detailed research on the reasons behind compulsory refreshing of pages, in order to move the Streetview icons from one position to another. Scraping would only be extremely beneficial in this research. I would not mind acquiring more information on use of Java Script, PHPs and HTMLs if had more time to conduct research. Formatting forms would be beneficial in this research for the purposes of detecting syntax and grammatical errors, but due to the time factor i am unable to carry out comprehensive research. However, I got assistance from my instructor through the use of his error console to detect errors. Read More
