Events management Introduction The arts are a declaration that the perceptions of the world comprise of more than theoretical concepts and abstract ideas (Nationa (a)l, 2015). The concepts that are highlighted in creative arts enable different persons to understand a particular conceptual idea in the society. The creative arts industry in Belgium has experienced a steady growth because of the country’s rich culture. In addition, the aspects of formal education and technology contribute to the growth of the creative arts industry in Belgium. The report provides an overview of an event to promote the Belgium’s creative products in London (www.dw.com), 2015). The products that feature in the event include visual arts, cinema, gastronomy, dance, design, music, publishing, architecture, fashion, and digital arts. Concept of the Event The concept of the event involves the process of promoting Belgium’s creative products in London. The ten disciplines ascribed to creative arts such as visual arts, cinema, gastronomy, dance, design music, publishing, architecture, fashion, and digital arts will be promoted in London through a combination of different activities. First, international artists from Belgium will be selected to perform in the main event in London. The artists will be selected because of their interests in exploring the international market through Belgium’s creative art. Second, mini events will be held in different parts of the city to inform the population regarding the Belgian creative arts industry. Moreover, the events will encompass a display of visual arts, gastronomy, dance styles, and different tenets of the of Belgian fashion industry. Thirdly, exhibitions of the creative art products from Belgium will take place in some major hotels in London to enable the audience to appreciate the country’s creative products (designboom architecture & design magazine, 2015). Finally, the organisers will organise a trip for various individuals to Belgium. The participants of the trip will include individuals who display in-depth knowledge of Belgium’s creative products (Rafanelli, 2015). The artist who will be selling their products at the venue will retain 80% of the earnings while the event organisers will keep the 20 %. The artists are chosen to display their innovative dance skills that combines modern and cultural aspects Design music Clouseau andVenice Aquinho Design music industry is becoming popular in Belgium because of the contribution of Clouseau andVenice Aquinho They are chosen because of their influence in the music industry. Publishing AmélieNothomb AmélieNothomb is one of the most successful publicists in the country making her the best ambassador of the literature industry She is chosen because of the international touch in her literature. Architecture Maarten van Severen The artist is among the innovators of the current architectural designs in the urban parts of Belgium. He is chosen to display the innovativeness of the Belgium architecture. Fashion Bruno Pieters Bruno Peter is an upcoming fashion designer in Belgium. She is chosen to be her appropriate ambassador for the country’s fashion industry. Digital art Arsenal Arsenal is a group of youngsters who promote various concepts of digital art such as digital painting, music and film production They are chosen because of their influence in the digital art industry Uniqueness Creative Economy: The concept of creative products is gaining interest in different countries across Europe. In this case, the sale and promotion of Belgium’s creative products aim at increasing the revenues of the industry. Additionally, the aspect of creative economy is growing steadily in different countries in Europe, which prompts the need to promote Belgium products in London (Culturalpolicies.net, 2015). Opportunity: The prospect for creative products in Belgium is growing because of the availability of reliable talent. Majority of the young populace of Belgium are engaging in the creative arts sector because of the opportunities in the industry such talent enhancement and employment opportunities (www.dw.com), 2015). According to research, the creative arts industry in Belgium has the highest rate of employment creation in the country’s economy. The sector is also broad in light of the avenues to exploit and is not affected by various economic crises in the region. The current growth of the communication and information technology sectors in various parts of the world creates an opportunity for the expansion of the creative industry in London and other parts of the world (Creativeclub.be, 2015). Quality and Innovation: The talent ascribed to Belgium’s creative art is recognised worldwide because of the aspects of creativity and innovativeness attached to it. Being among the fastest growing creative industries in the world, the Belgian creative sector is gaining recognition from different avenues such as media platforms and international exhibitions worldwide. The attention given to the Belgian creative industry on the international platform is attributed to the quality of the products and the innovativeness of the artists. The artists integrate cultural aspects into their products, which promotes uniqueness and quality (Au.news.yahoo.com, 2015). Need: The need to market and avail Belgium’s creative products to foreign markets is attributed to various reasons. First, the creative sector in Belgium lacks sufficient government representation on the international platform. In this case, the event will promote the country’s products in London and expand their market in England (Vanderagallery.be, 2015). Second, the event functions as a platform for Belgian artists to interact and display their products to their audience in London. By performing live in cinemas and restaurants, the artists identify with their creations, which are vital for enhancing the product’s market in London (Rawsthorn, 2015). Stakeholders The stakeholders of the event include the Belgium embassy in London and the national department of culture, which represents the interests of the government of Belgium in London. Another group of stakeholders are the sponsors (Rawsthorn, 2015). These individuals are responsible for financing various aspects of the event. Besides, they will focus mainly on the success of the events in terms of attendance and participation (Au.news.yahoo.com, 2015). The partners play a critical role in promoting, organising and hosting the event and they include the media (radio and television companies), and companies (Redken and laurentperrier). The final group of stakeholders comprise of the collaborators who support and engage in various activities during the event such as lighting design, graphic design and office architecture. Main Sponsors The sponsors of the event are Duvel, belgian chocolate like dascalides and leonidaes. The sponsors provide financial contribution towards organising the event. Numbers The costs for the event will be generated from different avenues such as government organizations, non-governmental organizations, creative arts organizations in Belgium and their partners. The cost of undertaking the event is approximately £100. The revenues from the event will be obtained from the sale of tickets, which are valued according to the criteria indicated in the table below. Besides, the revenue of the events will be acquired from the sales of tickets. Time The event will be organised during the anniversary of the Belgium’s greatest painter, Peter Paul Rubens. Besides, the event will be organised on behalf of the Ministry of Flemish Community, Arts and Heritage. Furthermore, it will be organised in the evening in order to attract adequate number of audience.
