In Rhodes Island, he worked as senior professor at Brown University and then flew to California to serve as an education professor at Stanford University. He contributed a lot in the field of literature as he upholds an honor of having written eighteen books, numerous articles and book chapters concerning his own field of interest, i.e. business. Damon qualifies for writing this book because he has done a vast research in the field of education and psychology and moral commitment through the lifespan.

He upheld an honorable position in the field of education for which has also received some awards and grants from the John D and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and the John Templeton Foundation. The Moral Advantage: How to Succeed in Business by Doing the Right Thing discusses the ethical and moral viewpoints concerning progress in business. It explores that morality has a profound part in enduring business progress and defines the role of morality and consequences of its contribution.

Damon underpins how professionals of the business world can develop their moral sense and value, thereby attaining what is called as “Moral Advantage” (Damon 42). . The author has quoted perceptions of some well-reputed professionals such as Richard Jacobsen. Damon encoded in an interview with him, noting: “He was highly articulate about the ways in which all of a person’s motive-financial, moral, personal, and spiritual-must join together for true success” (Damon 123). The author has attempted to examine how moral and ethics profoundly play a part in a prosperous business.

I found this book interesting because it does not only tell about ethical requirements of the business but also the power of morality, which is often ignored by other writers. This book is complete and unique in a sense that unlike many other business books on the shelves unveiling the ethics, in the book The Moral Advantage by Damon moral values are focused to embark the readers on a journey of various perceptions. This book is an outcome of a Stanford University study of “potential success” in business under the supervision of the respective authors.

This book inspired me and caught my attention mainly because of the principles deeply discussed in this book. Being a business student and future professional, I have always considered it important to implement fair approaches and policies to reach the destination. Damon's thoughts and methods of encoding facts in this book clearly emphasized the importance of ethical and moral law that one should consider and practically implement to become a successful business professional (Damon 114). The first principle set by Damon in his book, which I admire a lot, is "Moral Imagination.

" According to the author, “Moral imagination is the capacity to generate creative new
