The government supports the interest in their environment and cultural resources (Diekmann and McCabe, 2011).

Several countries have been involved in the creation of tourism activities making them develop an agency to cater to industrial activities (Qin, Wall and Liu, 2011). The main concern of tourism in most countries is to increase economic standards. Different governments should get involved in tourism to provide a suitable environment for tourism and attract minor businesses within the state to take part in tourism (Qin, Wall and Liu, 2011).

They also aim at protecting the scarcity of capital and managing inexperience within their governments is usually advocated as a basis for states involved in the action. Socialist governments have a weak private sector managing tourism, while the government takes part in the major roles in controlling tourism. The state creates several jobs for its citizens through tourism and hotel industries (Qin, Wall and Liu, 2011).

In developing countries, they face numerous challenges in inexpert private areas and they have a scarcity of capital and lack of enough monetary resources (Diekmann and McCabe, 2011). This makes the entire process of tourism a responsibility of the government instead of private sectors within the country. This involvement is highly influenced by their interests in profits made from tourism.

Challenges resulting from tourism can only be reduced or controlled by the governments mainly when the benefits of the local sector differ from individuals of the group and state as a  whole (Diekmann and McCabe, 2011). The other major responsibility of the government is to increase social, political and economic development resulting from tourism. For instance, the China government, which is a socialist government, is highly controlled by the state. Their policy has a profound impact on tourism (Diekmann and McCabe, 2011). China’s government realizes the necessities of tourism to exploit the lost chances that can be obtained from tourism. Social tourism has been magnificently protected by private sectors in the United Kingdom. In France and Belgium, social tourism covers all areas of the state (Diekmann and McCabe, 2011).

Diekmann and McCabe (2011) say that it is the role of the government to advise the authorities on matters related to the planning of tourism, as well as all the infrastructures that contributed to the development of tourism within the state. The government also provides the relevant authorities with information related to tourism within the tourism industry with the aim of improving the sector. The state also provides necessary assistance related to tourism and hotel industries (Kunst, 2011).

On the other hand, Egypt depends on its cultural heritage and a lot of investment to attract tourism to the country. This state performs the role of implementing tourism and hotel industries (Diekmann and McCabe, 2011). Here, the state develops and revises tourism policies within the country. Authorities play the role of reducing the roles of public sectors in promoting tourism (Kunst, 2011). They create opportunities for investing in the tourism business. They advocate for proper coordination within the tourism industries and hotel development. Above all, they ensure that tourism does not affect the environment negatively (Kunst, 2011).

Generally, governments ensure that that all state departments concerned with tourism are informed of the importance of tourism for community development (Diekmann and McCabe, 2011). All departments within the government should, therefore, get involved in the tourism business to ensure effective implementation. They ensure that the government emphasizes tourism policies to ensure sustainable tourism within the state (Diekmann and McCabe, 2011). They take part in conducting research on the effects of tourism on the environment. At the local level, the government protects sensitive environments from immersed effects of tourism through education (Kunst, 2011).

The authority performs a major role in offering assistance for the development of tourism businesses for economic development within the urban and rural areas. This part is done at the national level of promoting tourism within the state (Kunst, 2011). At the national level, the state provides assistance and support to private sectors in developing appropriate strategies for promoting tourism (Diekmann and McCabe, 2011).

Still, at the national level, the government ensures that the needs of tourism are well presented in those national planning policies that can affect the economy and environment. The government schemes and applies education and knowledge programs to educate people to maintainable tourism expansion issues (Kunst, 2011).

Apart from this, the governments enforce rules relating to unlawful trade in significant articles and crafts, illegal archaeological investigation and violation of consecrated sites (Knut, 2011). They ensure that they provide permits and suitable procedures that promote the growth of tourism within their respective states. Through frequent assessments, the government is in a position to improve the industry and maintain the development tourism business (Kunst, 2011).

In conclusion, through the government tourism system, most governments ensure that they impact the rates of tourists in their states by providing suitable infrastructures. They influence both public and private sectors in managing tourism within their respective countries. They finally develop a team of experts that ensure effective implementation of tourism activities within the governments.
