The motivation can come from family, from any individual whom we look up to or from friends. Accomplishing any goal , which may be personal or professional is not a very easy task. We need to have control over different psychological resources such as attention, memory, effort, patience, willpower persistence and resilience. According to psychologists, self regulation is the process by which we think and work on how to reach our goals. Self regulation is classified into two heads: regulatory focus which determine how we are visualizing our goals and regulatory model that deals with the process that we adopt to reach our goal.

According to Busato et.al (2000), from the very past the most essential factor related to achieving the academic excellence was intelligence and the degree of motivation. Till date this two basic factor remains the same. According to their research paper the learning style was consisting of four different aspects such as processing strategies,regulation strategies,mental models of learning and learning orientations. Among these four, the mental model orientation directly relates to the motivating factor.

For me In a five year Horizon, The motivation factors will play a very important role in higher education and carrier approach.(Busato et. al, 2000, pp.1057-1068) Motivation: Factor in Higher Study: During my higher study (Master of Accounting), my approach was be career oriented. Hunger for success in life, and also to be recognized as a educated individual played an important role to motivate me . The main aim of pursuing higher study was to get a good job with a decent salary that will give me a social status and also the respect among the family member.

During my initial days of study, the main motivation was knowing the subject in details , scoring good marks in the examination as well as get to know about the indepth part of the accounting. Family support was also a great motivation being the higher study. My promotion focussed attitude was also a great motivation behind my study. Apart from the promotion focus mentality following factors had also motivated me to score good marks in my higher study. These included my intentions towards out of the box thinking, tendency of finding different alternative solution to a given problem, creative and analytical approach towards study, focusing on the theme and pattern of ever changing economic market and also that of my subject (Accountancey), and my intention of encashing the opportunity to gain success with association of risk.

To enhance my motivation behind success I always looked for new opportunity to express my knowledge in the institution, work spontaneously and let my creative justice take a decision, and remain optimistic even while going through any tough phase. Role of Networking in Career Growth: Having a strong network always helps to build a strong career. Any individual can develop his or her network through different sources such as family connection, friends, seniors in the educational institute, through teacher under whom they have completed the higher study or project etc.

After analyzing my network connection it is very clear that I have a positive relationship with everyone, and almost all of them work with me in the same group. Career planning for five years’ horizon need specific and planning oriented utilization of network that I have. Fisrstly, after I complete my study, to get a good job in a reputed copany I have to use my network apart from the placement opportunity which will be provided by the institute. Getting an opportunity to start my career with a reputed organization will help me a great deal to build my career.
