Extract of sample "Aspect of Interpersonal Communication"

The breathing pattern across different individuals seems to be varied and that is compared to how people hear and listen to the information communicated. In agreement with Stewart, various factors like social environment, and religious faith among others influence people’s ability to perceive communication. However, what matters most is the mode of information breakdown which in turn defines what is important or not and the general viewpoint of the receiver (Stewart, 2012).

The process of selecting, organizing, and making deductions on perceived information explores the inhalation metaphor. It is also worth noting that inhalation is more of intrapersonal communication. On the other hand, exhalation constitutes an expression of personal feelings with a prior evaluation of what is expected of the receiver. The idea expressed must be taken through a series of self-assessments as it manifests the personality of the exhale (Stewart, 2012). In other words, interpersonal communication emphasizes disclosing the self. The reaction towards information received opens up avenues for assessing the truth behind ideas and helps in resolving stereotypes and eliminating unfounded assumptions.  The process of inhaling and exhaling acts as an effective interpersonal and intrapersonal communication tool.
