The paper "New Hire Training Program of Starbucks" is a perfect example of a case study on business. This project contains the New Hire Training Program of Starbucks. The purpose of the New Hire Training Program is to prepare new employees to become globally competitive, technology-savvy, and ethical employees of Starbucks. It aims its participants to have a holistic understanding of what is expected of Starbucks employees of being professionally competent in the operations, practices unparalleled customer service who is abreast with the latest technology that exceeds customer expectation while being ethical. While being trained about the generalities of the company, new hires will also be taught to be specialists in their respective field and department by providing them the adequate training that will properly equip them with technical competency to do a good job. The intended training program will run for one month and it is expected that employees will become an ideal ambassador of the Starbucks brand to its consuming public after the training reflecting its values and competency as a company that will inspire confidence and patronage among the coffee consuming public.

Introduction
The chosen company is Starbucks. Starbucks is a coffee shop that started as a roaster and retailer of whole coffee bean and ground coffee. From its humble beginning in Seattle’s Pike Place Market, Starbucks now has grown to over 18,000 retail stores with a presence in over 60 countries. (www.starbucks.com c, nd). At present, it is now embarking on an ambitious project of serving designer coffee through the brand Starbucks Reserve (Wong, 2014).
Starbucks started the trend of offering high-end premium coffee to the consuming public where the combination of the quality of its products and its laudable ethical practice became its competitive advantage. The strategy proved to be correct as the company grew from its humble beginning in Seattle’s Pike Place Market to over 18,000 retail stores with a presence in over 60 countries. It is important therefore that employees must understand the competitive advantage of Starbucks so that they will continue to reflect it in the operations and continue the success of Starbucks.
