require training for incorporating technology in their work. However, some challenges faced in transforming education through technology have been outlined. Further, the educators’ use of innovation and invention is important for developing and implementing cutting-edge educational programs. Significantly, the use of renewable energy resources such as photovoltaic and wind turbine mechanisms instead of depleting, expensive fossil fuels, benefits the growing needs of the transportation technology industry.

A collaboration between governmental and private agencies provides educators with relevant training, to meet the changes in the transportation technology curriculum of community colleges. It has been concluded that faculty development for improved academic, teaching, and innovative skills, along with training in the use of advanced technology and renewable resources, would contribute greatly to students’ achievement in a high-tech world. Requirement for High-Tech Teachers in a High-Tech WorldIntroductionInstructors with advanced technology knowledge from industry are crucially required to prepare community college students for future work in a high-tech world.

Cohen and Brawer (2009) state that community colleges are public-funded, and provide two-year courses in higher education mainly for the local community. The student population in these institutions comes from diverse, lower-income backgrounds and is generally academically underprepared; and the number of faculty members is inadequate. These factors increase the teachers’ workload. Further, most staff are employed on a temporary basis, which adversely affects their level of accountability.

Thus, the challenges faced by the instructors are great, while the remuneration is low. As a result, it is increasingly difficult to procure faculty for community colleges, particularly instructors who are highly qualified, experienced in the industry, with good communication skills, and good teaching capabilities or with basic skills that can be eventually refined. The main concern is that students in community colleges require appropriate technical education towards optimizing economic and workforce development.

Additionally, a number of students use community college education to improve themselves academically, in preparation for further higher education at Universities. Thesis Statement: The purpose of this paper is to investigate the requirement for highly qualified and trained instructors with adequate teaching skills for community college faculty.
