Experience Introduction Each society is normally tasked with the responsibility of making sure that it brings the best out of its citizenry. To assist it in realizing this, societies have put in place various set ups including medical facilities, in which they provide healthcare services to its citizens and learning institutions such as high schools and universities, where an individual is expected to enhance both the personal and professional aspects of their lives among other establishments. This essay aims to provide more insight on how the course work that I cover while pursuing a bachelor’s degree in management can positively influence the personal, professional and socio-religious aspects of my life. Similarly, the essay looks into some of the factors that are perceived to make our university standout among the rest as well as those that they need to improve on in order to ensure that they produce all-inclusive professionals in the labor market. Personal Growth Psychologists have overtime reaffirmed the fact that personal growth is of great essence to entities irrespective of their personalities. Individuals can achieve personal growth by embracing several activities including learning new things, discovering novel philosophies and in some instances going through life changing experiences (Lafley et al, 2013). It is for this reason that people are often advised on just how far-reaching it is to attend seminars and tutorials on various aspects of life as well as to take time off to go through good works of literature. Going through the business management coursework as postulated in the syllabus has come in handy in ensuring that I register personal growth. Covering projects on both accounting and economics have provided me with a lot of understanding on some of the steps that I need to take to make sure that I establish myself financially. In an ideal world, it is the desire of each individual to institute oneself financially and have monetary abundance. For me, I have my course coverage to thank as both economics and accounting have provided me with countless insights on how to control my spending habits, thereby saving and investing more. One way of realizing this is making sure that I avoid an extremely lavish way of life and at the same time, being grateful and appreciative for all the strides I make with each passing day. Going through projects of social psychology have enabled me to clearly make sense of all it takes to be mentally stable. As is always the case, mental strength demands that an individual has to keep his or her physical, emotional and spiritual aspects in check. Keeping physical traits in check is critical as it ensures that a person stays healthy and fit to experience and enjoy the components that life has to offer each passing day (Lafley et al, 2013). Similarly, it is far-reaching for an individual to remain emotionally stable, for it ascertains that the conscience of an entity is fully built, and that he or she exhibits self-awareness, which is a great intelligence in ensuring that the individual builds and maintains relationships with the society. Over and above, mental strength comes in handy in ensuring that we employ the knowledge and experience we gain each passing day in letting go our old habits and acquainting ourselves with new ones, an event that is critical in ensuring that we keep our brains active. Professional Growth Professional growth mainly refers to the concept of an entity acquiring expertise in a given field. There are two mechanisms of acquiring professional growth; namely an individual subjecting himself or herself to an academic process or acquiring experience in a given are of study (Lafley et al, 2013). Stakeholders have routinely reaffirmed the fact that it having expertise in a given area is of great significance, notably because of the highly demanding and fluctuating market. This hypothesis that was confirmed in the wake of the 2007/2008 economic depletion, in which firms whose strategy included training of employees sailed through the economic slump. Covering course projects on business operations has made me make sense out of what the society expects of me, as well as what it takes to oversee daily tasks at a work place. Moreover, the knowledge of business operations has prompted me to become knowledgeable on the field of commerce and find joy at the prospect of handling business related interest (Lafley et al, 2013). The knowledge of business operations has not only provided me with high recognition of what I do, but has enabled me realize the expertise that I need in order to take charge and stay ahead of the game. In an ideal job environment, employers customarily provide the parties they hire with perfect job environments with the hope that they will give their best and provide the firm with good returns. Business operations as a unit has therefore provided me with the knuckle of not only discharging my duties as expected, but the ability to solve any problems that may arise in the work environment as well. Covering coursework on both legal theories and logistics has enabled me grow visionary in character, a trait that comes in handy in making sure that an individual grows into a professional. The aspect of logistics has particularly made me realize that the route to being a professional does not happen instantly, but is a journey that requires hard work, determination and dedication. It necessitates that one should be ready to learn, and should not sit and rest based on the realizations of the past. In like manner, logistics has made me learn to appreciate the level that I find myself in, as that too does not come easy. Over and above, being visionary is a huge stride towards professionalism. This is because it encompasses finding common ground with colleagues, inferring that for an individual to be a professional, he or she should not be rigid, but flexible to change, as that would ensure that the individual readily adjusts to environments. In addition, it would enable the individual become competitive with everyone including himself or herself, a factor that comes in handy in making certain that they reach the highest scale of excellence, achievable in their field. Spiritual Growth Spiritual growth majorly refers to the process of awakening our inner self. In an ideal world, different people have various ways of spiritual growth. That notwithstanding, spiritual growth is indispensable irrespective of the personality that an individual exhibits. Going through the unit on sociology as well as that on business ethics has been of great value to me as an entity, as they have provided me with the necessary awakening. In like manner, spiritual awakening is critical in the development of an individual as it provides the person with the inner peace that they require in their daily undertakings (Lafley et al, 2013). Personally, I find peace in spiritual growth as it routinely brings about a change in shift in my daily operations. With time, I have come to the supposition that the more I get in touch with my spirituality, the more growth I experience. Importance of Studying Management It is far-reaching to study management majorly because it provides those who are in charge with an opportunity to assimilate their models of business, with the correct strategy as well as the perception of all the other interested parties. Similarly, management is important in the daily running of an organization majorly because it ensures uniformity, as all the parties involved in the daily undertakings of a business have unity of purpose, and share a common interest, implying that they work towards a common goal. The study of management is of great significance as it provides all the entities with the appropriate avenues and strategies with which to go about the challenges that they face in the course of discharging their duties. This includes issues such as technological failure and matters raised by employees. At a personal level, going through business is important as it provides the student with the chance to develop spiritually, professionally and at a personal level as outlined above. This not only opens up the mind of the student to the world of business, but also provides knowledge and experience, which brings about both growth and wisdom (Lafley et al, 2013). Besides that, studying management is integral as it provides its students with a stone on which to lay the foundation of their future, once they are out of school. University Strengths I presume true the fact that the university where I study stands out majorly because it not only satisfies its role as an institution of higher learning, but also tackles the innovation part of the syllabus. A fact that ensures that students are nurtured into global citizens. At the same time, the university has in place all the resources required to ensure that a student exploits his or her full potential. University Weaknesses One weakness that I have observed within the university that I study is the fact that new students are not given enough time to adapt to the system. This makes it challenging for them to make good use of their time within their first few weeks in the institution. It would be productive therefore for the administration to consider creating an acclimatization period for the mew students, before they get down to the real business Summary and Conclusion Management as a course is conclusive as it incorporates professional, personal, and spiritual aspects of life, a fact that is necessary in ensuring that an entity realizes his or her full potential. It is valuable as a course as it acts as a foundation upon which those who study it can kick-off their future. Reference Lafley, A. G., & Martin, R. L. (2013).
