The report acknowledges that there are a number of top-level players in the French market who control a significant percentage of the market. Still, there is room for a creative marketing company with a product that meets the standards of the French with regard to quality. While females have traditionally been the purchasers of cosmetics, men are increasingly becoming regular consumers of cosmetics products.
Among the market entry options available, including distribution, the user agents, franchising, and others, and online marketing.
With regards to ease of entry and exit in case of any challenge, online marketing is the most promising of the above-mentioned options. The report recommends targeting young people and the male market through promotions that promise trips to Australia, which could help cement the link between wholesome fun and energy associated with Australia and our company’s range of cosmetics.

The purpose of this report is to explore opportunities for the expansion of an Australian cosmetics company into other markets. Extensive research has revealed that France holds the greatest promise for such expansion. The scope of the research embraces the French market in particular though there are references to markets in other countries and how they compare to the target market of France.

In seeking new markets for our company’s cosmetics products, the most promising market, based on detailed research, appears to be France. This is due to a number of factors, including a high population that appreciates the value of using the kind of products our company produces. Even though on the surface, France seems like a mature market with respect to cosmetics, the population has a good appreciation for quality and freshness and many are willing to try new products that promise something new and exciting. Also, the old-line cosmetics companies, many of which are located in France, have a considerable share of the market but they are all confronted with the challenge of using new technologies to reach their customers and this provides an opening for new and more nimble companies, including those from overseas, to get a foothold in the market.

In particular, Australia, for the French, still seems very much like a far, foreign land, and is one that has images of vastness, openness, and freshness. While our company produces products that are equal in quality to some of the offerings available in Europe and the United States, as an Australian company, we have the opportunity to link our product to the positive elements of Australia in order to attract potential customers in the French market.
